1. RECOGNIZE WHAT SIN IS. Through constant contact with the world, sometimes the world's definitions of right and wrong tend to rub off on us. We must be certain that our understanding of right and wrong comes from G-d, not our own views...or the world's...definitions. It is G-d Who will judge us one day, and He will be basing His judgments on His standards, not anyone else's. |
| 2. ADMIT TO YOUR OWN FAILURES to keep the commands of G-d. Haven't you sinned ? Of course, everyone has. The natural reaction of man is to blame someone else for his own sin. If we are to get past this second point, we must accept personal responsibility for our sins. We made the decision to do wrong. No one forced us to commit all our sins. |
3. REPENT OVER YOUR SINS. This goes beyond merely feeling sorry that G-d saw your sins already. It requires a heartfelt commitment to turn away from your sin, and turn to the Living G-d. |
| 4. PLACE YOUR FAITH IN G-D. This cannot be a partial action. When flying in an airplane, you fully commit yourself into the hands of a pilot. Even more as we travel through this world, we must fully commit our lives into G-d's Hands. Come to know Him as the Holy Lord and Savior to all those who call upon Him. G-d has provided a way that your sins can be paid for, without YOU having to suffer the judgment which comes from being in rebellion against again by sinning against His laws.** |
5. RETURN TO G-D'S WAYS. These are described in the Torah, and the entire Tanach. Begin a serious study of G-d's Word, carefully applying its guidance to your own life. Constantly learn more about G-d, His Salvation, and His will for your life. |
| 6. REJOICE AND BE OBEDIENT. There is great joy in knowing that you can be forgiven, and please the Creator of the Universe ! But, you must truly KNOW Him, and have absolute faith in Him. You CAN know this as you study His Word. |
7. PROCLAIM G-D'S GOODNESS AND GRACE TO OTHERS. It is the special calling of Jewish people to proclaim His Word throughout the world. You should be a part of it. |
